Job DescriptionExperience with installation of or applying maintenance to IMS V11 (use of SMPE); experience in support IMS V12 and/or V13; experience in IMS migration/upgrade process;
· Experience with BMC’s IMF tool to: monitor IMS transaction response time or investigate user reported transactions problems;
· Understanding of mainframe PL/1 programming (development language);
· Ability to monitor IMS activity during peak volume days and liaise with Operations to meet business availability and performance objective;
· Ability to liaise with and provide support to developers on IMS development works;
· Availability to provide on call support and perform on call duties.

Skills Required
- Experience installing or applying maintenance to IMS V11 (using SMP/E)
- Experience supporting IMS V12 and/or V13 and performing IMS migrations/upgrades
- Experience with BMC IMF (IMF 4.6.0) to monitor IMS transaction response times and investigate transaction issues
- Understanding of PL/1 (PL/I) programming language
- Ability to monitor IMS activity during peak volumes and liaise with Operations to meet availability and performance objectives
- Ability to liaise with and support developers on IMS development work
- Availability to provide on-call support and perform on-call duties
- Experience with IBM MQ V7.1
- Familiarity with IMS Data Propagator V3R1
- Familiarity with BMC MXO 4.8.0 and BMC ETA 3.4.01
