The Role

This role is a local role based in the Netherlands. It requires to be available at least 1 day in the week in the office at Amstelveen. 

When needed it can be requested to participate in projects for others Kyndryl clients, especially for data migration across data centres. On Call (Standby) can be requested.

Description of Role:

Maintain and develop the Mainframe Storage 

• Responsible for correct functioning Disk, SAN and Tape infrastructure.
• Manage and support backup/restore, data movements, SMS policies
• Capacity Management
• Support GDPS Metro and Global Mirror
• Prepare and executed Storage Technical Refresh (Life Cycle Management)

To be managed Configuration:

• 31 z/OS LPARs 
• 4 DS8K Storage Devices (Mirrored configuration)
• 1 DS8K LCP/Cybervault device (Global Mi
• 2 TS7770 Tape Storage Devices.
• Broadcom G720 SAN Switches

Used technologies:

• IBM Storage Management tooling (SMS, HSM)
• z/EDC for encryption
• DS8K mirrors 
• GDPS for automation of Storage functions: Metro Mirror, Hyperswap, Global Mirror
• IBM LCP Cybervault

In depth knowledge and experience is required.

Work closely together with:

• Storage Team in Hungary
• Client
• IBM Support
• z/OS Architects
• z/OS Team in Hungary (especially for GDPS functions)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 implementation and management
• Public/private cloud management. Especially migration from onprem to cloud solution
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
• Automation experience, especially IaaS (infrastructure as a code)
• Vulnerability management
• Microsoft Active Directory and federation services
