About this Team:

The Mainframe Operations team is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our mainframe systems. This team plays a critical role in maintaining the stability, performance, and security of our mainframe infrastructure, which supports various business applications and processes.

What You will be doing:

• The candidate will be involved in monitoring and managing batch processing operations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely completion of scheduled jobs.
• He/She will also be responsible for maintaining system documentation, performing routine maintenance tasks, and collaborating with other IT teams to resolve any operational challenges.
• Additionally, he/she will handle SNOW incidents, ensuring they are logged, categorized, prioritized, and resolved efficiently.

What You bring:

• Clear understanding of Batch architecture: The candidate should have a strong grasp of batch processing concepts, including job scheduling, execution, and monitoring.
• Should have 1-2 years of experience in mainframe operations.
• Operations basics: Knowledge of mainframe operations, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in mainframe technologies and tools such as JCL (Job Control Language), TSO/ISPF, and SDSF, Familiarity of scheduling tools such as CA7, Zeke, ZWS/TWS/OPC, Control-M, ESP for mainframe batch monitoring.
• Problem-solving abilities: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
• ServiceNow (SNOW) Incident Management: Experience in handling SNOW incidents, including incident identification, logging, categorization, prioritization, assignment, initial    diagnosis, escalation, resolution, and closure. Familiarity with automated notifications and templates for frequently logged incidents.
