We are looking to bring in a Mail Room Lead to join our exciting, high-growth company. We are looking for hard-working, business-minded individuals with a growth mindset.
A Mail Room Lead performs various manual labor tasks including, but not limited to
- Oversees the sorting, opening, and distribution of all mail.
- Manages preparing and dispatching outgoing mail, including letters, packages, and parcels.
- Works closely with the planning team for upcoming programs
- Cross-trained as a fulfillment operative.
- Box Making
- Labeling Picking/packing orders
- Shipping/Receiving Stock Replenishment
Mail Room Lead is expected to maintain accuracy and quality and meet or exceed productivity quotas. Maintain and develop service levels to enhance continuous development. Unloading and sortation of goods in. Picking, staging and loading of goods out. Maintenance of excellent housekeeping standards and compliance with all health and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Order Processing:
- Reviews and verifies order accuracy against packing slips and invoices.
- Ensures orders are complete and ready for shipment.
- Prioritizes orders based on shipping deadlines and customer requirements.
- Packaging and Shipping:
- Selects appropriate packaging materials to protect products during transit.
- Accurately packages orders, including labeling and sealing.
- Affixes shipping labels and generates shipping documents.
- Coordinates with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and obtain shipping rates.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintains accurate inventory records of shipping supplies and products.
- Monitors stock levels and places orders for replenishment as needed.
- Shipping Cost Optimization:
- Selects the most cost-effective shipping methods based on weight, dimensions, and delivery time requirements.
- Negotiates rates with carriers to minimize shipping expenses.
- Customer Service:
- Responds to customer inquiries and resolves shipping issues.
- Provides tracking information and updates to customers.
What we are looking for...
- Basic knowledge of computerized inventory systems, warehouse functions and MS Office (Excel).
- Experience in Operating the Pitney Bowes printing and Envelope filling machines and their installation process.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- High School qualification or equivalent.
- Relevant experience within a warehouse environment.
