We are seeking a highly motivated Macro Analyst to join our ETF team. This role requires someone who can quickly consume and interpret breaking news across global equity markets and macroeconomic developments, providing precise and actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in covering US and/or Emerging Market equities, alongside broader macro themes such as monetary policy changes, political events, and key economic indicators.
You will cover a wide spectrum of sectors and countries - from US tech earnings to Chinese macro releases to Brazilian political developments - ensuring variety and exposure to global markets. Partnering closely with experienced traders, your insights will directly inform trading decisions and have an immediate effect on market positioning. With access to best-in-class market data tools and technology, you’ll operate in an environment built for speed, precision, and clarity, while also contributing to the development of automation and innovative approaches that enhance the way we process and interpret market information.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Monitor and analyse breaking news in US and Emerging Markets equities, sectors, and macroeconomic developments.
- Provide fast, accurate, and actionable insights on the market impact of company announcements, policy changes, elections, and economic data releases.
- Interpret country-level news and assess their implications for equities and broader markets.
- Deliver concise views in real time
- Collaborate closely with traders and portfolio managers to ensure timely dissemination of opinions that support trading decisions.
- Compose short written notes, quick-turnaround reports, or verbal market commentary.
WHO YOU ARE
- Prior experience as a macro analyst, desk strategist, economist or similar role in financial markets.
- Strong knowledge of US equities and/or Emerging Market equities and macroeconomic fundamentals.
- Proven ability to analyse company news, economic releases, and political developments with speed and precision.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distil complex developments into clear, actionable insights.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, market-driven environment.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or similar market data platforms is highly desirable.
