As a Machinist - Level 5 here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in operating and maintaining precision machining equipment to manufacture aerospace components that meet stringent quality and production standards. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the manufacturing process, supporting Honeywell's commitment to excellence in aerospace technology.

You will report directly to our Production Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Urbana, OH location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the overall production quality and efficiency by producing high-precision parts that meet aerospace industry specifications, helping Honeywell maintain its leadership in aerospace manufacturing.
 

Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize department processes and workflows
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of technology tools and systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve coordination and communication
  • Manage department budget and track expenses
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on best practices
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of initiatives and recommend improvements
Qualifications

The annual base salary range for this position is $78,000.00 - $118,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE
•    Extensive experience in operating CNC and manual machining equipment in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.
•    Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure part accuracy.
•    Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and machining instructions.
•    Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining machining tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
