The Role
Title: Machine Operator Level 1Shift: PMDepartment: Room 3 Reports to: Manager Machine Operators Level 1
- Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine.
- Inspects the filled container to ensure that the product is packaged according to specifications.
- Feeds product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices, and unloads packaged product.
- Replenishes packaging supplies as needed.
- Mounts supplies on spindles or places supplies in hoppers or other feeding devices.
- Positions and holds container in machine and depresses pedal, presses button, or moves lever to clean, glue, label, sew, or staple container.
- Has the ability to operate at least 2 machines. (Hayssen, Packline, AVM, Action Pac, Foremost, Yamato, Ishda, Viking, Haug)
- Must adhere to all HACCP and Food Safety policies, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
- Must comply with all policies regarding Employee Safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
