Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Machine Learning Engineer with a strong background in Computer Vision to develop a backend cloud API in Python. The primary responsibility is to process images sent from a mobile application to perform image segmentation, detection and classification tasks. The role requires proficiency in Python, Keras, FastAPI, OpenCV.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a cloud-based backend API using FastAPI to handle image processing requests.
- Implement image processing algorithms for background removal, glare detection, occlusion detection, and image classification using Python, Keras, Tensorflow and OpenCV.
- Optimize and scale the API for performance are reliability in a cloud environment.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration with the mobile app.
- Design and implement tests to ensure robustness and accuracy of the image processing functionalities
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.
Requirements
Must have skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a Machine Learning related area preferred.
- 2+ years of professional experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, particularly computer vision, in production.
- Proven knowledge of Python programming.
- Solid knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms for Computer vision tasks, and performance evaluation schemes for Machine Learning models.
- Experience with Deep Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch) and OpenCV.
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and deploying machine learning models in a cloud environment.
- Familiar with version control systems (Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Nice to have:
- Experience with C++
- Experience building end-to-end ML systems.
