As a Machine Design Engineer II, you will design machinery to improve efficiency of the business unit and supports new product launches. Develop machines to replace machines with excessive man-hours as well as coming up with better ways to make machinery operate more efficiently. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain, analyze, and finalize machinery requirements.
- Design equipment optimizing machinery cost, safety and return on investment.
- Select vendors and assist purchasing to assure best pricing delivery of machine components.
- Monitors project status for completion requirements.
- Perform tests and record results in order to prove feasibility of design.
- Responsible for the approval of machinery for production.
- Manage and assure security of machinery drawings on the network.
- Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment and methods.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
- Continually looks for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
- Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Five to seven years progressively more responsible experience.
- A professional level of knowledge in a specialized field equivalent to that ordinarily acquired by completing a four-year baccalaureate program in an engineering field.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
