The Position
Culligan Quench continues to grow through acquisition, requiring effective integration of acquired businesses while preserving customer experience, revenue retention, and operational continuity.
The M&A Project Manager coordinates assigned acquisitions from integration planning and due diligence through Day 1 readiness and post-close customer onboarding. This role maintains disciplined project plans, identifies and escalates material risks, and works with sellers and functional partners to transition customer data, contracts, billing, equipment, and service requirements into Culligan Quench operations. The Project Manager monitors customer and financial outcomes, verifies functional handoffs, and contributes to scalable integration playbooks. The role operates with autonomy on assigned workstreams, with guidance from the Director of M&A Integration and senior team members, and offers opportunity for continued professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain acquisition plans, milestones, diligence logs, risk registers, and Day 1 readiness checklists for assigned transactions.
- Coordinate seller information requests, customer and contract data validation, flat-file readiness, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Identify material customer concentration, contract, equipment, service, and data risks early; communicate recommended actions and owners.
- Coordinate customer onboarding, seller-assisted introductions, and targeted engagement for strategic and at-risk accounts.
- Partner with Customer Care, Sales, Service, Product, Finance, IT, and Data Integration to ensure continuity of billing, service, and customer relationships.
- Monitor customer contact, First Touch, onboarding completion, NPS, churn indicators, and revenue risks; escalate exceptions promptly.
- Support differentiated customer strategies based on recurring revenue, concentration, equipment profile, and retention risk.
- Cross-functional accountability and execution
- Document named functional owners, commitments, deadlines, and acceptance criteria; follow through until handoffs are verified.
- Coordinate post-close seller obligations, open integration items, and applicable holdback or purchase-price adjustment support.
- Provide concise status reporting that distinguishes critical value-at-risk issues from routine task completion.
- Document lessons learned and contribute to reusable integration playbooks, customer use cases, and process standards.
- Identify opportunities to simplify recurring work through reporting, automation, and appropriate AI-enabled tools.
- Collaborate with senior team members and functional partners to strengthen project management, analysis, and stakeholder influence skills.
- Maintain accurate acquisition documentation and provide timely updates for deal reviews and integration governance.
- Demonstrate accountability, sound judgment, responsiveness, and a customer-first approach.
