THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB) is looking for a M&A Analyst (TMT) based out of Luca de Tena Office (Madrid).

We are reinforcing our telecom & digital infrastructure Investment Banking team due to increased deal activity and continued successful growth. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for

  • Preparing high-quality client materials, including pitchbooks, strategic reviews, management presentations, information memoranda, board materials and internal approval documents.

  • Conducting detailed sector, company, investor and transaction analysis across the European telecom and digital infra space.

  • Monitoring market developments, valuation trends, regulatory themes and investor activity across key sub-sectors, including digital infrastructure (data centers, towers, fiber), telecoms (B2C, B2B) and media.

  • Performing valuation work using DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions and other relevant sector-specific approaches.

  • Building and reviewing detailed financial models, including operating models, DCFs, merger and accretion / dilution analyses, valuation frameworks, and sensitivities.

  • Supporting live transaction execution across M&A and IPO processes, including due diligence coordination, workstream management and interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Supporting senior bankers on client dialogue, strategic analysis and origination ideas.

Professional Experience

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A, ECM / IPO advisory or a similar transaction environment  

  • Strong execution experience on live transactions and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure  

  • Strong interest in, and ideally prior exposure to, the TMT sector in Europe, including telecommunications, digital infrastructure and media (Preferred)

Education

  • Undergraduate degree with a strong academic track record  

Languages

  • Fluency in English and Spanish are required.

  • Additional European languages (Preferred)

Hard Skills

  • Proven ability to produce high-quality client-facing materials, with excellent attention to detail and quality control  

  • Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills, with a strong grasp of accounting and corporate finance fundamentals  

  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, Mergermarket, Infralogic (Preferred)

  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
