Intern, Body Controls Engineer, Summer 2025
Role/Responsibilities:
· Develop control systems for assigned features of the vehicle
· Develop requirements and related test cases for features modeled in Matlab/Simulink
· Work with other controls engineers to improve or develop a simulation model/platform to analyze, optimize, and troubleshoot various aspects of the vehicle
· Assist integration of features into the controller code base
· Test the developed software on the vehicle and assist in the calibration of the features
· Support failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) for various features to comply with ISO 26262 standards
· Develop diagnostic interfaces for the controller
· Work in cross-functional teams to solve control problems
Preferred Qualifications:
· Exposure to model-based design using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow
· Understanding of Automatic Controls Systems
· firm grasp of classical control theory tools like compensator design and PID tuning
· Experience with C/C++ programming
· Creativity in your design with an ability to build products with your hands
· Hold a great line of communication and can work cross-functionally with multiple teams.
· Field(s) of study: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Systems or related fields
· Will consider undergrads Junior level or above Pursuing Bachelor’s or master's degree
· Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
Nice to Have:
· Understsanding of tools such as Autostar, CANalyzer, or CANape
· Expernce with Embedded coder in Matlab/Simulink
