Job Details: Full or Part Time-Evenings only

Weekly Hours: 32-40 hours per week

Salary Range: $27.00-$35.10

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Job Summary 

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides high-quality, compassionate nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LPN applies sound nursing principles and clinical judgment to support residents’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being in accordance with individualized care plans. This position demonstrates clinical competence within the full scope of practical nursing, including the ability to assess resident status, perform basic diagnostic testing, administer medications and treatments, and respond effectively to emergent situations.

The LPN ensures the health, comfort, and safety of residents by delivering care consistent with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include contributing to resident assessments, documenting care and observations accurately, and maintaining thorough communication with the interdisciplinary care team. The LPN fosters positive relationships with residents, families, and staff, promoting a supportive and respectful care environment.

In collaboration with supervising RN’s, the LPN provides resident and family education on health maintenance, treatment plans, and self-care strategies. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while providing resident-centered care. The LPN performs other related duties as assigned to support the overall mission of quality care and resident well-being.

Qualifications

Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with MN State Nursing board privileges. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
