- Assist provider during testing, examinations, and procedures when needed.
- Follow provider's instructions to complete patient treatment.
- Provide and record all medications and immunizations ordered by provider and given to the patient.
- Take patient specimen and carry out laboratory test(s) ordered by the provider.
- Stock rooms with necessary supplies.
- Keep supplies ready by taking inventory of stock; communicate to the manager when an order needs to be placed.
- Perform administrative duties such as answering/returning calls; verifying that lab and imaging reports are received.
- Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
- Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required. Licensed by the Alabama State Board of Nursing required.
Experience:
Additional Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred. Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to effectively interact with all healthcare team members.
