Working within the Loyalty team, you’ll create and champion impactful branding and marketing strategies that drive guest engagement and business outcomes while building the Circle brand to achieve program and enterprise goals. As the Loyalty Strategy Lead, you will use your leadership, strategic vision, and analytical expertise to shape the brand ethos, messaging and visual identity of Target Circle—bringing our program pillars and benefits to life for millions of guests. You’ll lead the continued evolution of the Circle brand ecosystem including messaging and visual identity, ensuring every touchpoint reinforces the value of Target’s loyalty program. This role calls for a blend of branding expertise, strategic foresight, strong organization, and ability to influence global partners across marketing, digital, UX and creative.
Grounded in guest insights and business priorities, you will define how we communicate the value of loyalty across channels. On any given day, you may be shaping a creative brief, orchestrating and prioritizing work against project timelines, or driving cross-functional collaboration to bring complex initiatives to life. Your ability to connect teams, build relationships, and champion a clear vision while driving consistency across guest touchpoints will be key to success.

Lead development and evolution of the Target Circle brand toolkit—including positioning, messaging, visual treatment, and guidelines to inform cross-channel activation.
Translate program goals into data-informed branding & marketing strategies including activations across channels and guest-facing comms (site, app, and owned media).
Collaborate on quarterly and in-season planning to guide roadmap for brand evolution
Identify and mitigate risks to deliverables; proactively manage stakeholder alignment across internal and external partners.
Support key strategic initiatives & ad hoc projects that advance the loyalty vision & enterprise growth.
About you
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
8+ years of related experience, preferably in consumer/product marketing/branding and loyalty.
Brand Strategy Expertise – Deep understanding of positioning, brand architecture, and how to translate business and guest insights into a clear, differentiated brand narrative.
Cross-Functional Leadership – Connects brand strategy to marketing, media, product, loyalty, and experience design; influences partners across creative, strategy, and business teams.
Strategic Storytelling – Articulates how all brand components ladder up to a single, compelling brand story — from high-level narrative to executional copy.
Change Management – Designs scalable frameworks (toolkits, templates, messaging hierarchies, and governance models) and drives adoption through collaboration and education.
Creative & Marketing Acumen – Writes strategic briefs and evaluates creative against defined brand and business objectives.
Consumer-Centric Mindset – Deep curiosity about guest behavior and the analytical skill to turn insights into compelling stories and brand-forward strategies.
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
