Your Key Contributions:
- Build & Maintain Complex LookML Models: Design and maintain reusable, high-performance LookML models supporting business analytics.
- Develop Interactive Dashboards & Explores: Create visually compelling and interactive dashboards and Explores to provide actionable insights.
- Optimize Query & Dashboard Performance: Ensure fast query execution and scalable dashboard performance through SQL optimization and LookML best practices.
- Translate Business Logic into LookML Code: Convert business requirements into robust, maintainable LookML code.
- Collaborate with Analysts & Stakeholders: Partner with business users, analysts, and data engineers to understand requirements and deliver impactful analytics solutions.
- Conduct Code Reviews & Mentor Junior Developers: Review LookML code for quality, performance, and adherence to standards; provide guidance to junior team members.
- Governance & Administration: Support workspace administration, permissions, and deployment workflows in Looker.
- Version Control & CI/CD: Implement Git-based version control and manage CI/CD pipelines for Looker development.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience (3+ years) developing, deploying, and managing solutions within the Looker ecosystem.
- Proficiency in LookML for building models, derived tables, and reusable views.
- Strong SQL expertise for querying, transforming, and optimizing data from relational and cloud-based sources (BigQuery)
- Experience with advanced Looker visualizations, dashboards, and Explores.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights clearly.
Desirable Skills (Added Advantage):
- Knowledge of Other BI Tools: Hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau development.
- Cloud & Platform Skills: Experience with GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, etc.) and integrating Looker with cloud-based data pipelines.
- Looker Extension Application: Knowledge of building or customizing Looker Extension Applications to extend Looker functionality and embed analytics.
- Version Control & CI/CD Expertise: Strong understanding of Git-based version control, Looker Git integration, and managing CI/CD workflows for Looker development.
- Custom Visualization Development: Experience creating custom visualizations in Looker using JavaScript or visualization APIs.
