Job Description
The Logistics Supervisor for Poultry is responsible for overseeing and optimizing warehouse and order fulfillment operations. This role includes supervising receiving, warehousing, distribution, and managing all inventory functions (including feeds, eggs, office supplies, packaging materials, and repairs and maintenance). The goal is to ensure that orders are fulfilled with optimal trucking allocation, while maintaining inventory accuracy and data integrity. The Logistics Supervisor will also ensure that all deliverables (daily/monthly reports) are met within the expected timeframes.
WAREHOUSING ACTIVITIES
- Manages and coordinates all major activities and ensures that standard operating procedures are adhered from Receiving, Inventory, Replenishment, Cleaning, Handling, up to Reporting.
- Ensure Warehouse equipment and facilities are working and in good condition
- Implements Good Warehousing Practices (GWP)
- Conducts over-all assessment of the facility to evaluate factors that may influence and impact the warehousing operations
- Conducts regular inspection. recommends, and implements enhancements to existing procedures and programs of the section
- Coordinates with other section supervisor and leadmen to ensure seamless integration of Production, Warehousing, and Transport
- Ensures that all warehousing related documents and reports (Actual and System) are accomplished and submitted in a timely manner.
ORDER FULFILLMENT ACTIVITIES
- Manages and coordinates all major activities and ensures that standard operating procedures are adhered from Orders Receiving, Truck Allocation, Actual Dispatch, Reports, and System Transactions
- Ensure Transport equipment and vehicles are working and in good condition
- Implements Truck and Personnel GMP
- Conducts over-all assessment of the processes that may influence and impact the Order Fulfillment operations
- Conducts regular inspection. recommends, and implements enhancements to existing procedures and programs of the section
- Coordinates with other section supervisor and leadmen to ensure seamless integration of Production, Warehousing, and Order Fulfillment
- Ensures that all Order Fulfillment related documents and reports (Actual and System) are accomplished and submitted in a timely manner.
FARM BIOSECURITY POLICY
- Ensures that the company’s biosecurity policies and SOPs are strictly followed.
- Review on processes and practices that may help improve the existing biosecurity procedures.
REGULATORIES
- Prepares for regulatory documents, e.g. Safety, Health, and Environmental Compliance, Local Permits Compliance, Truck Handlers and Vehicles Accreditation
- Prepares documents and facilitates the processes necessary to secure shipping documents and other certificates, permits or licenses.
- Coordinates with relevant government agencies to ensure smooth and seamless transactions in the regulatory requirements
TEAM SUPERVISOR
- Supervise, monitors, and evaluates the performance of direct subordinates
- Builds PAR and provides intervention for the development and growth of direct subordinates
- Monitor the services of third party manpower service providers
- Document and reports lapses
FOOD SAFETY
- Comply with the company's quality, Halal, health, and food safety policies, standards, and regulations.
- Responsible for reporting Halal, food safety, and quality management system issues to the appropriate authorities.
OTHER DUTIES
- Participate in all company initiated program and activities
- Appointment Membership to committees whenever necessary
- Takes charge of the expansion projects and or project improvement of the Warehouse and Transport section
- Conducts training of personnel on transport biosecurity and good warehousing practices cascades that may affect the operations
- Facilitates creation, development, delivery, implementation, review, monitoring, and update of documented guidelines for Warehousing and Transport
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
- A graduate of any four year course preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or relevant experience in the field.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- At least one (1) year in related work experience
