This is an onsite/in person position, in a Distribution Center Warehouse environment.
The Opportunity
Organizes and implements a variety of responsibilities related to the flow of materials, products, services and associated systems information. Duties involve but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, shipment of products, and third party warehousing. Evaluates customer support and field service commitments to ensure customer requirements are met. Serves as liaison between sales and operations teams to develop concepts and coordinate product knowledge; provides data analysis for production planning and volume studies; and participates in process/rating improvement efforts. Assists in developing logistics plans and procedures.
What You'll Do
- Accurately pick and pack marketed product against shipping orders
- Using manual labor, pallet jacks, and forklifts, move product and both GMP and non-GMP supplies to and from storage locations and delivery trucks
- Using a company vehicle, transport materials and equipment between sites
- Perform all work activities in a safe and compliant manner according to all Genentech policy, procedure and training and maintaining a clean work environment
- Perform physical counts of product and materials
- Perform functionality / safety checks of equipment (i.e. forklifts, etc.)
- Access various business systems and input data with a high level of accuracy
- Record creation, collection and storage per corporate retention schedules
Who You Are
- BA or BS with concentration in Life or Physical sciences preferred. May substitute with extensive inventory management or Bio / Pharma industry experience
- Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instruction
- Good basic mathematical skills
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs
- Proficiency with PC desktop applications and business operations software system
- Ability to work in a highly cooperative team environment
- Flexibility in duty assignment and ability to work over-time, holidays and weekends as required and different shifts
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Relocation Funding is not available for this role.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Louisville, Kentucky is $43,900 - $81,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
