RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and process export shipments in compliance with international trade regulations.
- Prepare and manage shipping documents such as commercial invoices, bills of lading, and packing lists.
- Monitor export schedules, resolve delays, and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to address import issues.
- Plan and coordinate bulk chemical shipments and raw material deliveries.
- Track import shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.
- Participate in monthly S&OP meetings to provide in-transit reports.
- Manage chassis and railcar fleet, ensuring efficient utilization and maintenance schedules
- Manage relationships with third-party warehouse providers.
- Support annual inventory audits by reconciling records and coordinating physical counts.
- Analyze logistics processes to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Serve as the backup for the Supply Chain Manager, including reviewing inventory levels and analyzing forecasts using SAP MRP and IBP
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of experience in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management.
- A bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is preferred, but relevant experience or an associate degree may also be considered.
- Strong communication - They’ll need to confidently speak in front of the team and clearly communicate daily logistics activities during our morning production meetings.
- Ability to multi-task – This is needed to manage a combination of domestic, export, and import shipments in multiple transportation types simultaneously.
- Strong work ethic – Someone proactive, dependable, and willing to not only take ownership of their tasks, but also cross-train to help backup, as needed.
- Team fit – There’s a fun, collaborative environment in MMAT so someone who can balance professionalism with a good team dynamic would fit in great.
- Knowledge of import/export processes and SAP highly preferred.
