Logistics Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a logistics background to support Department of Defense (DoD) contracts. This role requires expertise in warehouse setup, inventory management, sensor calibration, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, and writing element specifications. The selected candidate will be responsible for establishing and optimizing warehouse operations, ensuring accurate calibration and inventory control of sensor equipment, and developing detailed technical specifications for project elements. This is a full-time position, working a minimum of 30 hours/week. Please note that the duration of this position will be 6 months.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, setup, and operationalization of warehouses for DoD logistics projects.
• Develop and implement SOPs for inventory control, sensor calibration, warehouse operations, and logistics workflows.
• Assist in writing and refining element specifications for logistics, calibration, and warehouse systems.
• Oversee inventory tracking, cycle counting, and asset management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with DoD standards.
• Manage sensor calibration programs, ensuring proper scheduling, tracking, and documentation of calibrated equipment.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and other DoD regulations governing supply chain, inventory, and calibration.
• Utilize logistics and inventory management systems, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), and calibration tracking software.
• Coordinate with DoD agencies, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient logistics execution.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for supply chain security, warehouse operations, and calibration compliance.
• Train and mentor personnel on inventory control, sensor calibration procedures, and SOP adherence.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 Years of experience in logistics project management, warehouse setup, inventory management, sensor calibration, and writing element specifications within DoD or government contracting environments.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Strong expertise in inventory management, calibration scheduling, and compliance tracking for sensor equipment.
• Experience writing technical element specifications for logistics and calibration-related systems.
• Knowledge of sensor calibration standards (e.g., ISO 17025, NIST guidelines) and equipment tracking best practices.
• Experience with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and other DoD regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in logistics and inventory management systems (SAP, Oracle, TMS, WMS, DPAS, GCSS-Army, calibration management software, etc.).
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma, DoD-specific certifications) preferred.
• Active [Security Clearance Level] or ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), or similar DoD logistics entities.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations, ITAR compliance, and government supply chain risk management.
• Prior military or government contracting experience in warehouse management, logistics operations, and sensor calibration tracking.
