Are you an experienced Logistics Coordinator with a strong background in global shipping and customs clearance? A leading provider of high-end building materials and interior solutions is looking for a skilled professional to manage international shipments, customs regulations, and supply chain operations from Dubai.
Your Key Responsibilities:Shipping & Freight Management
Oversee global shipping operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation.
Manage import and export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transport providers to optimise logistics.
Customs Clearance & Compliance
Handle customs declarations, HS codes, and duty calculations to ensure compliance with UAE and international regulations.
Liaise with customs authorities and clearing agents to resolve any clearance issues efficiently.
Stay updated on import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade policies to avoid delays or penalties.
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
Track shipments and update stakeholders on delivery timelines and potential disruptions.
Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to align logistics with business needs.
Ensure accurate record-keeping for all shipments and logistics transactions.
Problem-Solving & Risk Management
Proactively address logistics challenges, including delays, damages, or compliance issues.
Negotiate shipping rates and contracts with freight partners to optimise costs.
Implement best practices in logistics efficiency and cost reduction.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years in logistics coordination, preferably in the building materials, construction, or interior solutions sector.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of international shipping, customs regulations, and freight forwarding processes.
Skills & Attributes
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle multiple shipments and ensure compliance with trade regulations.
