For our office in Cape Town, we are looking for a
Logistics Coordinator, SSA and MENA
Main Responsibilities
- Drive Agile Supply Chain
- Actively support in the improvement of operational processes (incl. projects automatization/digitalization)
- Direct contact person for logistical topics
- Coordination with in-house sales team to promote accurate and timely processing of orders for customers
- Pro-actively ensuring (monitoring) transport of daily deliveries
- Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues
- Evaluate and report on KPIs
- Contact person for forwarder/3PL regarding transport status, delivery confirmations and delays
- Creation of freight orders to selected forwarders/carriers
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- Commercial/Business education, higher education degree, business administration or similar
- At least 2 years of professional experience in logistics or Supply Chain
- Excellent handling of and affinity with ERP systems, especially SAP is a must
- Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel
COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent analytical skills
- High proactivity and willingness to improve processes, tasks, etc.
- Reliability and ability to multi-task
- Hands-on approach: you make things happen
LANGUAGES:
- Fluent English and Afrikaans
