Job Description:
The Logistics Coordinator supports PCS logistics operations by planning, coordinating, and tracking inbound, outbound and domestic shipments to ensure timely delivery, cost control, and compliance with customs and transportation requirements. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners (carriers, freight forwarders, vendors, and customs platforms) to ensure shipments move efficiently and any exceptions and any exceptions are resolved proactively.
Job Responsibilities:
- Shipment Coordination & Execution
- Plan and coordinate inbound, outbound and domestic shipments to meet required delivery timelines.
- Manage daily transportation schedules, ensuring all shipments are on track and executed accurately.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and vendors to confirm pickups, routing, delivery appointments, and shipment status.
- Tracking, Monitoring & Issue Resolution
- Monitor and track shipments daily to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Proactively resolve transportation exceptions including delays, damages, carrier issues, or missing information.
- File and manage carrier claims for damaged, lost, or missing cargo, ensuring timely submission of required documentation and follow-up through resolution.
- Communicate shipment status and issues to internal teams and external partners as needed.
- Documentation & Customs Compliance
- Prepare and maintain transportation documentation including shipping labels, customs paperwork, invoices, and delivery receipts.
- Manage VUCE permits through the customs platform, ensuring correct and timely submissions.
- Coordinate import/export requirements including tax payment requests for cargo clearance.
- Process ITBIS exemptions and maintain supporting documentation for compliance.
- Ensure both import compliance (accurate HTS codes with corresponding duties and taxes) and export compliance.
- International Partner Management
- Support the onboarding and coordination of new international suppliers, ensuring logistics requirements and documentation processes are established.
- Maintain strong working relationships with carriers, forwarders, and vendors to support performance and competitive pricing.
- Cost Optimization & Process Improvements
- Evaluate shipment routes and transportation methods to optimize cost, transit time, and service reliability.
- Identify and support logistics improvement initiatives such as freight consolidation, route optimization, and efficiency enhancements.
Who You Are:
- Experienced: 2-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with ERP systems, logistics platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledgeable: Basic understanding of import/export procedures, customs documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect and escalate issues quickly.
- Strong Communicator: Effective communication skills to coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
