About the Department
You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), which is responsible for all major expansion activities within aseptic production, solid dosage forms, finished products, fill & finish warehousing, and QC across all production areas in Product Supply. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk's 50,000 employees.
FFEx is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. The Position
Serve as key member of warehouse, with a focus in shipping & logistics. Drive stakeholder management through process improvements & data analytics. This position is responsible for the communication with the 4PL partner, freight forwarders, customers, & planners.

Manager, Warehouse.
Essential Functions

  • Acts as a process advocate, coordinating daily schedule with work cell leaders & support groups to remove barriers & enabling the process to run optimally
  • Coordinate & execute shipments of NN finished goods & bulk to NN affiliates & external customers
  • Generate & process shipping documentation
  • Coordinate shipment planning with Kuehne & Nagel (4PL partner)
  • Monitor team inboxes (4PL/other)
  • Coordinate between warehouses & freight forwarders
  • Coordinate with Local Service Providers (LSP's)
  • Analyze & forecast future transportation needs based on for future volumes, country transfers & new product launches
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • As the position involves contact with numerous internal & external stakeholders, clear, precise, & polite communication is essential
    • Regular meetings are held with key stakeholders to ensure a good relation
    • Continuously communicate with stakeholders to ensure optimal handling & prioritization of shipments
    • Ask stakeholders for feedback to develop our processes
  • Process Improvements:
    • Challenge & optimize existing shipping processes through a data-based approach
    • Drive projects to (re)define processes
    • Implements process improvements (including new processes that are driven locally & on a corporate level)
  • Data analytics:
    • Independently analyze & interpret data/information provided by stakeholders & make independent decisions
    • Build data tools to support the ambition of automated flows
    • Analyze existing data to ensure a constant improvement of the processes
    • Operate with data visualization tools (for e.g. Tableau)
    • Create & maintain overviews & KPI's to support management
  • Responsible for investigation & solution of quality problems in warehouse such as: unscheduled events, deviations, temperature deviations, etc.
  • Resolves/ elevates issues on systems such as e-time, SAP & Pas-X
  • Observes & enforces all safety & environmental requirements
  • Ensure compliance with training programs (ISOtrain/EduNeering) & confirm process
  • Actively communicates corrective actions from investigations & confirms with all team members
  • Perform periodic assessment of compliance (audit readiness)
  • Development & documentation of standard processes
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned


Physical Requirements
Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Strap & unstrap pallets using hands. Must be able to be on your feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May require corrected vision to 20/20 or 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves. May perform critical job functions in extremely cold work environments depending on site. May position oneself within confined spaces for inspection if required of the role. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. May be required to secure a motorized vehicle license & operate a motorized vehicle based on the role.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education & industry experience required
  • Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing or logistics experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment required
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in project management preferred
  • Experience using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies & achieving sustainable process improvements preferred
  • Knowledge of US, EU regulations & guidelines, & application of GMP's preferred
  • Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning methodologies & can use multiple methods to train & coach others a plus
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly in writing & presentations preferred
  • Computer expertise in the following applications: MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAP & novoGlow preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in practical problem solving & process improvement methods a plus
  • Experience planning, organizing, managing execution, checking results, & revising work plans preferred
  • Strong communication skills across multiple organizational levels preferred
