We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Logistics and Sustainment (L&S) Lead. The ideal candidate will demonstrate robust managerial experience in organizing, planning, directing, and managing contractor staff. This role requires providing effective team leadership and guidance, consulting with senior leadership to support daily engineering operations, and leveraging various functional competencies to ensure proper planning, accountability, and mission performance.


This is a hybrid role in DC, 1-2 days a week onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and manage a team of qualified and experienced personnel.
  • Oversee L&S contractor support activities including:
  • Collaboration with OA and internal/external customers to facilitate L&S coordination across the CBP enterprise.
  • Oversight of lifecycle logistics policy development.
  • Integrated lifecycle logistics and sustainment planning and implementation support for systems/technologies through all phases: concept, acquisition, deployment, and retirement.
  • Strategic, operational, and tactical cost-wise readiness mission performance outcomes.
  • Independent logistics assessment support.
  • Workforce development in lifecycle logistics management.
  • Data-driven analytical support for all product support elements of planned and deployed systems and technologies.
  • Asset management and training support.
  • Warehouse support and management (Note: This will not involve physical warehouse work; the contractor will report to OA’s designated workspace at National Place, 1331 Pennsylvania Ave., Suite 1335N, Washington DC).

Requirements:

  • A minimum of fifteen years of system acquisition logistics planning and sustainment experience.
  • Proven track record in team leadership and effective management of contractor staff.
