Logistics Management Specialist – Product Support / Supply Support

Position

We are seeking a Logistics Management Specialist to support a Navy program with day-to-day product support, depot, inventory, and asset-tracking activities.

This role will work closely with government and contractor team members to track parts and equipment throughout their lifecycle, support depot and fleet requirements, coordinate material movement, and help improve logistics processes and tracking systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on logistics experience and is comfortable taking ownership of assigned tasks with limited day-to-day direction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Track parts, equipment, and program assets throughout their lifecycle, including location, status, maintenance requirements, and service-life limitations.
  • Support depot operations, including incoming deliveries, storage, kitting, shipping, refurbishment, and equipment      exchanges.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and asset-tracking information within applicable logistics or maintenance systems.
  • Monitor parts and assemblies during maintenance, refurbishment, disassembly, and reassembly to maintain traceability.
  • Track fleet requisitions, returns, expiration dates, and other sustainment requirements.
  • Develop and maintain inventory tools, including MIN/MAX levels, shortage tracking, and material forecasts.
  • Coordinate logistics actions with depot personnel, engineering, NAVSUP, DCMA, vendors, fleet representatives, and other      program stakeholders.
  • Support parts acquisition, material estimates, quotes, and funding forecasts.
  • Identify material shortages, schedule risks, and logistics issues and help develop solutions.
  • Support the development and improvement of logistics processes, trackers, procedures, and systems.
  • Prepare routine status updates and brief logistics accomplishments, risks, and open actions to program leadership.
  • Work as part of an on-site Product Support team supporting logistics, engineering, configuration management, technical      data, and maintenance activities.

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply support, product support, depot operations, maintenance logistics, or a related      field.
  • Experience with inventory, asset tracking, material management, shipping/receiving, or maintenance support.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and follow tasks through completion.
  • Experience using logistics, inventory, maintenance, or asset-tracking software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively within an on-site government and contractor team.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous Navy, DoD, depot, or defense logistics experience.
  • Experience supporting equipment maintenance, refurbishment, repair, or component-level tracking.
  • Familiarity with NAVSUP, DCMA, ordnance inventory, maintenance planning, or DoD supply systems.
  • Experience developing or maintaining inventory, MIN/MAX, material forecasting, or logistics tracking tools.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Relevant logistics, military, technical, maintenance, or DoD experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, subject to contract requirements.
