Organization: Community National Bank was founded in 1984 by a group of individuals in Nemaha County, Kansas with diverse local ownership with decisions made on a local level.

Position mission:

The location manager will ensure the successful operation of the assigned location by delivering excellent customer service, supervising the retail staff and day-to-today operations, and achieving goals and metrics.

Major Duties:

  • Ensure location retail operations run efficiently and align with the bank’s standard operating procedures
  • Exceed customer expectations by providing excellent customer service and creating a customer-centric culture in a warm and welcoming location.
  • Champion a customer-first community bank culture, ensuring the bank’s customers receive seamless, consistent service that exceeds expectations.
  • Develop and retain existing customer relationships and generate new business by assessing local market conditions and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with Invisor, CNB Mortgage, CNB custody, and other CNB employees and locations to provide a seamless experience for our customers.
  • Direct all aspects of location retail operations.
  • Responsible for staffing and scheduling to ensure proper coverage is maintained in the location at all times.
  • Strong knowledge of banks' retail policy, procedures and workflows and the ability to back up retail roles as necessary.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the bank’s products and services
  • Supports departmental audits and maintains strong internal controls
  • Identifies and coordinate appropriate outside sales activities and events to promote Bank Products and services
  • Mentors and coaches’ staff to ensure that customer service is at optimal levels and that branch goals are met
  • Monitors all compliance issues and operations of the branch
  • Performs opening and/or closing procedures of the location in accordance with security procedures. This includes possession of keys as well as combinations to various vaults.
  • Approves transactions within authorized limits while ensuring Bank’s policies and security procedures are followed. Oversees that all customer inquiries are addressed and responded to efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversees completion of monthly, quarterly, or annual audits and employees' work in accordance to policy.
  • Adheres to alarm testing if applicable or procedure on how to add users
  • Complies with the privacy and customer data protection policy by maintaining customer confidence. Protects Bank operations by always keeping information confidential and secure.
  • Adheres to all Bank policies and procedures and all local, state, and federal statutory regulations
  • Support customer teller transactions needs based on customer traffic
  • Maintain current knowledge of personal banking products, services, practices, and trends and integrates into customer conversations.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of how to open, close or conduct maintenance on accounts on the system to train and coach location team, but also serve as the expert during staffing needs
  • Continually strive to create profitable business through pro-active cross selling and relationship enhancement.
  • Create, develop, and lead weekly sales meetings.
  • Assist in the hiring and training of new associates.
  • Bring out the best in branch personnel by providing training, coaching, development, and motivation.
  • Effectively supervise, motivate, and utilize Branch staff to ensure that all Location operations are completed in an accurate and timely manner according to the Bank’s Operations Policy and Procedures.
  • Delegate and assign responsibilities to Location staff and ensure adequate training.
  • Effectively promote a teamwork environment. Lead by example.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with customers, bank staff, local professionals, centers of influence, and community organizations.
  • Use experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

General Responsibilities:

  • Support CNB’s strong relationship culture through quality customer service and superior product knowledge
  • Provide superior customer service by resolving problems efficiently and responding timely.
  • Identify and implement solutions to problems in general and urgent matters.
  • Actively seek to add and enhance knowledge regarding developments and current trends in the industry.
  • Seek supervisor counsel on issues as appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a team environment.
  • Flexible to accept additional assignments as requested by leadership.
  • Cross train for other positions to cover when necessary.
  • Professionalism while representing CNB (onsite, professional and community events and via communications)
  • Participate and attend meetings as requested.
  • Recommend policies and procedures as it relates to areas of responsibility.
  • Timely responses to inquiries for information to customers, staff, and vendors
  • Answer telephone calls and provide a prompt response.
  • Follow CNB’s policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in finance, business management or related field.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3 years of retail banking experience with increasing responsibility.  Management experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
  • Requires a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of banking software and Microsoft office (word, excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Role requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable to fulfill the obligations of this position.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described are representative to those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand and sit for extended lengths of time, read computer screens, talk on the phone, unpack and move supplies up to fifty (50) pounds, reach, kneel, bend, climb and balance. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision.

Work Environment:

 While performing the duties of this job, the work environment is primarily a professional, deadline-driven environment with interaction of internal team members and external customers. Noise levels in the work environment can be loud.
