MUST HAVE: Looking for a Data Systems Analyst that has worked with ETL and data warehousing and has knowledge in data modeling, SQL and XML.
Job Information:
This Data System Analyst communicates and collaborates well with Business and Technical partners in the Project Team and supports in quality data solution implementation of the business/data requirements. Documents process/data flows, metadata and data level design specification for the data warehousing/business intelligence project. Holds business domain, data and technology knowledge to bridge the various stakeholders and teams involved in the project.
Key Job Functions:
Collaborate with Business/Data Subject Matter Expert and document business/data level requirements
Analyze and create process/data flow diagrams, data mappings and metadata documentation
Study/analyze data model and develop SQL queries to understand data, to convert business/data level requirements to physical data and technical specification
Participate in project meetings with other technical staff and business owners and subject matter experts
Assess and develop data requirements for project and communicate in writing or in meetings with development team. Develop detailed specifications against business/data requirements.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree, preferred
Minimum experience:
8+ years of related experience
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
Strong ability to translate business requirements into data requirements.
Experience as data subject matter expert working with business and technology groups to meet the information needs of the stakeholders
Strong communication skills – both written and oral.
Excellent Problem solving and analytical skills
Able to work independently and prioritize conflicting tasks
5+ years of hands-on experience in development of large scale ETL, Enterprise Data Warehouse applications, or Business Intelligence implementation.
Exposure/Experience to Informatica ETL/Business Intelligence Tools design and development.
Exposure to best practices of data modelling for Data Warehouse and Data Marts.
Strong programming experience with SQL and Oracle & SQL Server databases.
Advanced knowledge in Excel and Macro programming experience preferred.
Experience with DOORS
High proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, is preferred.
Domain/Data Knowledge of mortgage industry or finance is a plus
