Essential Job Functions:- Loan Officer Support:
- Prepares loan packages by collecting necessary documentation and information from customers.
- Reviews loan files for completeness and accuracy.
- Follows up on missing documents and addresses any conditions.
- Opens escrow accounts, coordinates inspections and appraisals, and determines insurance needs.
- Pre-qualifies customers using automated underwriting systems (AUS).
- Collaborates with processors and escrow officers to facilitate loan closings.
- Customer Service:
- Answers general customer inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
- Communicates with customers, real estate agents, and title companies to keep them informed about loan progress.
- Coordinates and schedules loan closings.
- General Support:
- Maintains Loan Officer databases.
- Assists with marketing campaigns, including email and direct mail.
- Stays updated on market trends and product knowledge.
- Performs various administrative tasks, such as faxing, emailing, and making phone calls.
- Special projects as needed.
- Adopts Fairway values in personal work behaviors, decision making, contributions and interpersonal interactions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and changing environment.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting data.
- Demonstrated experience effectively managing relationships with internal and external partners.
- Demonstrated experience researching information, problem solving and making solid business decisions.
- 1+ years mortgage lending or related sales experience.
- Demonstrated experience in retail loan origination.
- Demonstrated experience using Encompass360.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of current business acumen.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of mortgage lending processes, procedures and regulations.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of Encompass.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of a variety of loan programs including Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA and secondary marketing guidelines to manage complex loan level issues.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of mortgage-related terms, such as escrow, taxes, closing documents and insurance.
- High School or GED
- NMLS licensed, not required but preferred.
- This is a hybrid position that offers remote flexibility and will also require some in office time. Access to a quiet space at home and reliable internet is required.
