Description

We are hiring a cleared LMR Specialist to support a U.S. Army NEC in Ft. Huachuca, Az.

The LMR Specialist role delves deep into the realm of Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems, offering unparalleled technical support to the Army NEC. If you possess the prowess to manage state-of-the-art radio communications systems and maintain impeccable customer relations, this could be your next pivotal career move.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service & Troubleshooting: Offer exceptional customer service, diagnose LMR issues, program radios, and maintain an updated database for LMR assets.

2. Technical Expertise: Showcase proficiency in installing, repairing, aligning, and maintaining both analog and digital trunked radio systems. This involves intricate knowledge of a spectrum of equipment from microwave radios to mobile/portable radio equipment.

3. Maintenance & Repair: Oversee preventive maintenance, ensuring the proposed network remains up to original factory specifications.

4. Microwave System Mastery: Handle operations, maintenance, alignment, troubleshooting, and repair of strategic and tactical microwave equipment.

5. Safety Compliance: Abide by DISAC 310-130-2 and tower & antenna safety protocols as per OSHA guidelines. Tower climbing certification is essential.

6. Depot Maintenance & Response: Furnish Depot Maintenance, On-site Fixed Equipment Response and Repair, provide timely critical and routine responses, and support the technical assistance center.

7. Documentation: Prepare and update documentation related to design changes and implementation plans.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant domain (An additional 2 years of experience can be a substitute for the degree requirement).
  • Minimum of seven years in roles involving LMR, particularly with Motorola/Cambium systems.
  • Essential certifications: CompTIA A+ or Network+.
