Pearl Abyss — the team behind Black Desert — is seeking a high-performing, innovative, results-oriented and customer-obsessed, Live Game Operations Manager to help accelerate our gaming reach to millions of customers across all screens (PC, Mobile, Console, etc.) in Europe.
The Live Game Operations Manager will be in a highly collaborative role and work with results-oriented teams -- Live-ops, Marketing, Project Management, Public Relations, etc.
You will join a diverse and dedicated team working across multiple communities, platforms and games such as Black Desert and upcoming releases such as Crimson Desert, DokeV and PLAN 8. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to ensure all Pearl Abyss current and future titles will achieve European goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively and independently handle communication between multiple teams worldwide through various channels
  • Collaborate with senior management, providing reports and updates for operational projects and tasks
  • Develop and execute operational plans and goals, monitoring and regularly reporting on live service issues
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
  • Lead projects from planning to execution, managing the entire scope of the project from defining objectives to post-analysis
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
  • (IF SENIOR)Lead and mentor junior members, providing guidance and support for their professional development
  • Take care of ad-hoc projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Professional level fluency in English
  • Ability to excel in a team environment, ability to build/maintain positive relationships through strong collaboration efforts
  • Technical knowledge of online game live services
  • Professional and mature demeanor along with strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives and priorities
  • Ability to "roll up their sleeves" and have a mindset to get any job done
  • May require evening and weekend hours
  • [International travel may be required for this position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional level fluency in Korean
  • Avid Black Desert Online player
  • Passion for video games
  • Experience with Slack, Google Docs, Microsoft Office software as a service platform
  • Prior experience/interactions with gaming communities
