The Role
Analyze and structure deposit and sweep solutions for wholesale clients, own deal economics and pricing recommendations, produce approval memos and analytics, manage rate-sensitivity governance, and partner with Coverage, Treasury, Product, and Risk to ensure competitive, policy-aligned pricing.
Summary Generated by Built In
Play a key role in shaping client liquidity strategies by analyzing and structuring deposit and sweep solutions, while partnering with senior stakeholders across product and coverage teams.

As a Senior Associate in Liquidity & Account Solutions (“L&AS”), you contribute to the deal teams and product leadership by analyzing, structuring, and recommending exception pricing across on-balance sheet deposit products and sweeps for wholesale clients. You will own deal analytics, including balance assumptions, beta sensitivity, non-interest revenue (NIR) mix considerations, and profitability/margin impact for a dynamic portfolio of clients across the GCB. You will partner with Coverage, Treasury, Product, and Risk/Controls to ensure pricing is competitive, policy-aligned, and well-governed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and underwrite exception pricing requests across on-balance sheet deposits (ECR / Interest / MMDA) and sweep structures; document rationale, key risks, and recommended terms.

  • Build and maintain deal economics views, including rate sensitivity/beta, margin impact, relationship profitability, and trade-offs across pricing versus product bundle.

  • Operationalize rate sensitivity segmentation governance for beta management for deals or in response to market changes and clearly articulate when and why deviations are warranted.

  • Produce executive-ready outputs, including approval memos, pricing summaries, competitive context, and decision logs with clean assumptions and an audit trail.

  • Identify themes from approvals (e.g., pricing related attrition, recurring exceptions, sector dynamics) and propose refinements to controls, playbooks, and guidelines.

  • Partner with coverage teams supporting complex liquidity structures and multi-product relationships where deposit pricing is tied to overall wallet and revenue mix.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in transaction banking, liquidity/treasury products, deposit pricing, or deal management; demonstrated ability to support pricing decisions with analytical rigor.
  • Exposure to deposit products (ECR, Interest, MMDA) and/or Investment Sweeps (on and off balance-sheet)
  • Familiarity with wholesale client coverage and relationship economics, including multi-product trade-offs and NIR mix considerations.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including advanced Excel, scenario/sensitivity analysis, and disciplined assumptions QA.
  • Strong written communication for senior stakeholders, including concise narratives and defensible recommendations.
  • Sound judgment and control orientation, including policy adherence, documentation discipline, and appropriate escalation.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and written communication skills, with a proven ability to distill complex data into concise, decision-ready narratives that connect insight to action for senior stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience partnering cross-functionally (Client Coverage, Product, Treasury, Risk/Controls, Legal/Compliance) in a governed pricing environment.
  • Analytical rigor; structured problem solving; stakeholder management; comfort operating at pace with high decision volume.
  • Ability to balance competitiveness and discipline: knows when to hold the line versus flex to win the right relationship.
  • Strong communication skills; with a proven ability to communicate clearly and confidently with multiple senior-level stakeholders, aligning priorities and driving decisions across teams
  • Consulting experience preferred, ideally in financial services, treasury, or transaction banking engagements, with strong structured problem-solving skills.
