JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
•Ability to provide technical implementation support. Help assist with customer implementation calls
•Create great first impression Fanatical Support experience by serving customers and setting the correct expectation
•Expert understanding of Linux Platform (recent versions of RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu)
•Understanding of Automation / Orchestration such as Ansible, Bash / shell scripting.
•Working knowledge of any of virtualization technologies such as kvm/xen/lxc is a plus
•Provides consulting service to customer on building solutions to meet customer needs.
•Basic to Intermediate knowledge of OS and distributions, including but not limited to: Server Failover Clustering, Active Directory, IIS, Hardware, Software, DNS, RAID and VMWare
•Basic to Intermediate knowledge of server hardware, networking, backup, and storage solutions
•Basic to Intermediate knowledge of designing, implementing, analyzing, and troubleshooting complex systems
•Proficient in Linux Package Management, User administration, Log management.
•Understands Networking, Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPN, and SSL technologies
•Understanding of Linux core and network services like Upstart, Sendmail, Syslog, SSH, Apache, MySQL, Iptables etc.
•Exercises judgment in decision-making in order to routinely deliver FANATICAL customer support/New hires
•MySQL Installation/Configuration
•Knowledge with storage solutions (NAS, SAN, DAS)
•Best practices related to authentication, auditing and access monitoring
•Familiarity with systems management concepts, processes / standards (e.g. SNMP), capacity / performance management, and tuning / network management.
•Ability to listen to differing technical opinions
•Creative and collaborative team player and possess high accountability
•Ability to respond effectively under pressure
•Able to create technical documentation
•Ability to work flexible hours
•A strong willingness and desire to learn (self-learner) and to stretch competencies is a must
•Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in order to maintain required productivity levels
•Excellent problem-solving abilities, coupled with a desire to take on responsibility
•Possesses advanced written and verbal communication
•Ability to lead the IE team in the absence of an immediate frontline manager
