A hybrid work model requires 1 day a week in the office (Warsaw).
As a Linguistic Quality Assurance Specialist you will play a vital role in the Translation Quality Assurance (TQA) program enabling the expansion of Allegro.pl services into new markets.
We are looking for people with:
-
Native or C2 knowledge of Ukrainian
-
English C1 level
-
Polish B2 level
-
Experience using CAT Tools
-
At least 2 years translation experience
The following are also a plus:

Degree in Linguistics/Translation/Localization or related fields

Ability to use metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes

Experience with python scripting and text processing libraries

Basic knowledge of regular expressions

Ability to invent and simplify to enhance and expand use of existing tools, evaluating new tools and technologies for future development
In your daily work you will handle the following tasks:
-
Proofreading files received from the Translation Agency
-
Ensuring consistent translations with the Glossary, Translation Memories (TMs) and Style Guide
-
Creating and maintaining the Glossary, Style Guide and Translation Memories (TMs)
-
Providing feedback to Translators and Editors from the Translation Agency
-
Project management: Assigning tasks and monitoring deadlines for external translators
-
Implementing corrections based on reporter feedback and/or external testing
-
Quality control: gathering and aggregating data for external translation quality checks
-
Cooperation with the Software Developers on production and QA tools
-
Translation of short texts and multiple content updates under specific time constraints
-
Quality verification of test data for Machine Translation (MT) development
-
Ownership of backlog of language specific quality issues
-
Resolving MT quality issues by providing corrections using hand-crafted glossaries
-
Coordinating MT quality improvements based on business impact assessment
