Job Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY:

As a member of a cross-functional team, performs semi-skilled production machine operations to assemble/fabricate a product or sub-assembly in accordance with team goals.  May perform work manually and/or by machine operation which requires in-depth knowledge of process and constant monitoring. Ensures product and process quality and efficiency through appropriate inspection and continuous improvement problem solving activities.  Makes machine adjustments and typically manages several variables within the process.  Maintains procedures and standards to provide compliance with quality standards for assigned area.  Efficiently performs basic preventative maintenance and moderately complex machine setups.  Maintains material movement systems and completes proper paperwork and documentation to guide operations of the team.  Participates in annual planning process, understanding plant objectives and identifying improvements to help attain goals.  Performs other duties as necessary in support of team objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties listed below will be performed at different degrees dependent upon the assigned team.  Responsibilities include machine operation, material handling and inspection. 

1. Performs semi-skilled production work to assemble or fabricate a product or sub-assembly in accordance with team production goals.  May perform work manually and/or by machine operation which requires in-depth knowledge of process and constant monitoring.
2. Ensures product and process quality and efficiency through appropriate inspection and continuous improvement problem solving activities.  Makes machine adjustments and typically manages several variables within the process.  Maintains procedures and standards to provide compliance with quality standards for assigned area.
3. Efficiently performs basic preventative maintenance and moderately complex machine setups. 
4. Maintains material movement systems and completes proper paperwork and documentation to guide operations of the team.
5. Participates in annual planning process, understanding plant objectives and identifying improvements to help attain goals.
6. Ensures totes returning to the designated empty tote area are free of tags, unnecessary packaging, parts and any other foreign materials.
7. Performs other duties as necessary in support of team objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. High school diploma in order to possess skills necessary to perform job; or equivalent.  Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. 

2. Mechanical ability to perform moderately complex set-ups and make necessary adjustments to keep equipment in process.

3. Demonstrated decision making and problem solving skills to manage, prioritize, and deal with many issues at one time.

4. Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills in order to work effectively in a team environment.

5. Demonstrated ability to operate within production and quality standards; including being able to operate/utilize all job-related equipment.  Equipment may include fork-lift, hand tools, production machinery, et cetera.
