Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented professional with experience using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to support laboratory operations through accurate data entry, sample tracking, and system coordination. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working within a LIMS environment either as an end user, implementation support resource, or laboratory operations associate. This role supports daily laboratory workflows, maintains data integrity, and assists with system configuration, troubleshooting, and process improvements related to LIMS operations.
Key Responsibilities- Enter, review, and maintain laboratory data within the LIMS platform
- Track samples, test results, chain-of-custody records, and laboratory workflows
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of data records
- Support laboratory staff with LIMS-related activities and user assistance
- Assist in implementation, validation, migration, or configuration activities during LIMS deployments or upgrades
- Generate reports, dashboards, and documentation from the LIMS system
- Perform quality checks and resolve discrepancies in data entries
- Collaborate with QA, laboratory personnel, IT, and project teams
- Follow SOPs, GMP, GLP, CAPA, and regulatory requirements where applicable
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and system training activities
- Maintain confidentiality and data security standards
- Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in a scientific, technical, or related field.
- Experience using a LIMS platform in a laboratory or regulated environment
- Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
- Familiarity with laboratory workflows and sample management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic reporting tools
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with LIMS implementation, configuration, or migration projects
- Knowledge of regulated environments such as: FDA, ISO, CLIA, GMP/GLP
- Experience with systems such as: LabWare LIMS, STARLIMS, Thermo Fisher SampleManager LIMS, LabVantage
- LIMS navigation and workflow management
- Data entry and validation
- Electronic records management
- Report generation
- User support and troubleshooting
- Spreadsheet and database handling
- Documentation and SOP management
Skills Required
- Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in a scientific, technical, or related field.
