Accenture is looking for great candidates to join our Scientific Consultant Development Program (SCDP) in our Orlando, FL office. Being based in Orlando, FL is required. Depending on your role on a project, you may be asked to travel 25%-50%.
You will start with intensive training through our Scientific Consultant Development Program. During your first 12-24 months in this role, the focus will be on gaining skills across many functional areas required to become a successful Scientific Informatics Consultant. After the initial training period, you will continue to grow your career and increase your skills and experience in various areas.

The Work:
Through client delivery and the internal innovation program:
- You will gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud
- You will learn management consulting and design-thinking techniques as you work on the fundamental redesign of the scientific user experience
- You will help client organizations better capture, handle, integrate and analyze complex scientific data
- You will contribute to the discovery and manufacture of new products, reduce time to market, improve quality and compliance, and increase operational efficiencies
- You will have numerous opportunities for training and certifications to keep your tech smarts sharp
- You will use digital, laboratory specific technologies such as Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN), Chromatography Data Systems (CDS), Scientific Data Management Systems (SDMS), and Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Here’s What You Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Laboratory Science / Life Science (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology), Computer Science or Engineering within Laboratory Sciences / Life Sciences (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering) or other relevant field
- Graduation date between December 2023 - December 2025
Bonus points if you have:
- An advanced degree in a relevant field, as mentioned above
- Knowledge of coding concepts or IT capabilities relevant to the industry
- Strong scientific / life science experience in an academic or professional setting (e.g., minor in laboratory science, laboratory research experience, laboratory internship, or professional role Know you still have a lot to learn and are willing to be a lifelong learner
- Have genuine interest and desire to learn about emerging technologies (e.g., Generative AI) and their ability to reinvent the way our clients work
- Have a passion for problem solving and possess strong business and financial acumen
- Can apply industry and/or functional knowledge in a consulting context to help clients with valuable insights and solutions
- Feel comfortable leading workshops, asking others for input and telling stories in a presentation style
- Skilled in data analytics and capable of abstracting insights to hypothesize on big picture themes
- Have a professional proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel)
- Have comfort working with visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx)
- Think critically and have taken classes in statistics or data analytics
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
