Job Purpose:
- The Life Enrichment Coordinator at Ovation Communities is responsible for enhancing the quality of life for residents by developing and implementing engaging programs and activities that promote physical, mental, and social well-being. This role is crucial in fostering a vibrant community atmosphere that supports the diverse interests and needs of all residents.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a variety of life enrichment programs tailored to the interests and abilities of residents, including recreational, educational, and cultural activities.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to assess individual interests and needs, ensuring programs are inclusive and accessible for all.
- Coordinate with external organizations and volunteers to bring in additional resources and expertise to enhance program offerings.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and activities, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal engagement and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of program participation and resident feedback to support continuous improvement and reporting.
- Facilitate communication and promote awareness of upcoming events and activities through newsletters, calendars, and other communication channels.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a safe environment for all participants.
- Assist in the training and supervision of staff and volunteers involved in program delivery.
- Participate in community meetings and contribute to the overall strategic planning for resident life enrichment initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy, Gerontology, Social Work, or a related field.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a senior living community or healthcare setting.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful enrichment programs for seniors.
- Experience in coordinating events and activities that promote engagement and social interaction.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to assess resident needs and preferences to tailor programs that enhance their quality of life.
- Creative problem-solving skills to address challenges and adapt activities to meet diverse resident needs.
- Proficiency in using software tools for scheduling and program management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead volunteer groups effectively.
