JOB OVERVIEW 

The Programming and Film Assistant provides operational, technical, and administrative support to B&B Theatres Programming and Film Department. This position plays a key role in maintaining programming systems, ensuring showtime and website accuracy, supporting pricing analysis, compiling data for market and demographic research, and assisting with training resources related to Cinema Ace operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive Cinema Ace knowledge, strong technical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The position serves as a critical link between site level Cinema Ace configuration and circuit wide Enterprise Web programming activities, helping ensure data accuracy, operational consistency, and successful deployment of programming elements across all B and B locations. 

In addition to technical responsibilities, this individual serves as an assistant to leadership, providing hands on support for office tasks, errands, and facility coordination. 

This is an in person position. Employees are expected to be in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. 

Hours: This job requires you to work during the evening, weekends, and occasionally on holidays. 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hiring.   

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly to fulfill job responsibilities. 

  • Must have professional experience in theatrical exhibition and a comprehensive understanding of day-to-day theater operations. 

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Cinema Ace and its various functions. 

  • General technical proficiency and ability to work with multiple software platforms and databases. 

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. 

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 

  • Must be able to run company errands and provide current vehicle insurance.  

  • Preference To: 

  • Previous movie theater management experience. 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting.

Physical Demands 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, requiring repetitive hand and wrist motion for typing, data entry, and navigating multiple software platforms. 

  • Ability to read fine print on screens, review complex data charts, and verify minute details in web and theater management systems for extended periods. 

  • Ability to travel occasionally to various theater locations or corporate meetings, which may involve operating a motor vehicle, navigating theater lobbies, and moving throughout various office/theater environments. 

  • Frequent verbal and written interaction with colleagues and theater management, requiring clear speech and hearing capabilities. 

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move office supplies, files, or equipment up to 15–20 pounds. 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the operational demands of the film industry.
