Job Overview: Green Project is looking for a Level III Backend Software Engineer who will be a technical mentor responsible for driving the design, architecture, and implementation of our carbon accounting platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical strategies, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the scalability, performance, and security of our system.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and implement software solutions using C#.NET, Entity Framework, Azure Functions, and SQL.
- Take technical ownership of key system components, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with other engineers to understand technical requirements and contribute to project timelines.
- Mentor and support junior developers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical guidance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the software to ensure the quality and performance of our platform.
- Contribute to the improvement of development processes and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent related experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in C#.NET, Entity Framework, and SQL. Azure Functions knowledge a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Passion for clean architecture, performance optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Carbon Accounting or Sustainability industry knowledge and interest a plus.
Salary range:
The base pay range for this position is $110,000-$150,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Remote Work
Green Project embraces remote work, with a team of talented individuals based across the US in Colorado, East Coast states, and several other countries. All US applicants must be based in Colorado or East Coast states. Our largest presence is in NYC, where employees are invited to join occasional in-person working days. However, attendance is never required.
