As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will conduct compliant risk assessments across commercial and industrial sites in line with ACOP L8, HSG274 (Parts 1–3), and company standards. Working independently and with the Water Hygiene Team, you will assess, document, and report on systems to help clients effectively manage and reduce Legionella risk.
What you will do
As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will conduct compliant risk assessments across commercial and industrial sites in line with ACOP L8, HSG274 (Parts 1–3), and company standards. Working independently and with the Water Hygiene Team, you will assess, document, and report on systems to help clients effectively manage and reduce Legionella risk.
What you will do
- Complete Legionella risk assessments across commercial and residential properties in line with ACOP L8, HSG274 and relevant guidance.
- Survey hot and cold water systems, identify risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Produce clear, accurate and detailed risk assessment reports, including updating schematic drawings where required.
- Manage your own diary and workload while maintaining professional communication with clients and site contacts.
- Complete occasional water hygiene service work, including temperature monitoring, sampling, flushing, tank inspections and showerhead cleaning.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
Who you are
- Previous experience completing Legionella risk assessments.
- Strong knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG274
- Experience working with a range of hot and cold water systems
- The ability to produce professional and technically accurate reports
- Previous water hygiene monitoring or servicing experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- Confidence working independently and managing a mobile workload
- Good IT skills and experience using electronic reporting systems
- A full UK driving licence
