Job Description
The Legal Service Field Representative is responsible for service of process, court filings and research, deliveries and pickups and other field related tasks as requested by management.
Responsible for daily logging and general maintenance of assigned Knox vehicle.
Assist with procedural questions with in-house personnel, clients and client service reps.
Hours are Monday through Friday from 8AM - 5PM. Full benefits, including health, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays and 401K.
Qualifications
Possess a valid California Driver License and clean driving record.
Operate a motor vehicle, enter and exit the vehicle repeatedly at various specified locations, load/unload portable duplication and scanning equipment.
Experience Job related and legal field experience is preferred but not mandatory
Education High School diploma or equivalent

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Technical skills are needed to perform the duties associated with this position and skills may require updating to maintain competency as position evolves. Specific skills required for this position include: complying with the Code of Safe Practices; operating computer and copying devices; and safe operation of motor vehicle.
Knowledge is required to understand written working procedures, write routine documents, speak clearly and understand and follow specific written and oral instructions. Specific training and knowledge is required to successfully perform in this position includes: knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedures and HIPAA in relation to Subpoenas and Medical Authorizations; correct use of standard and portable copy machines, email technology; and understand safe practices.
Ability needed to maintain confidentiality of medical and legal information; prioritize tasks and keep timely schedule; read, write and understand English language; and use computer, mobile scanning machines, and other basic office equipment. Ability to address simple mechanical and equipment issues with basic office and scanning machines is minimal. Ability required using independent judgment to interpret data. Specific ability to successfully perform in this position include: effectively managing time and workload to meet deadlines; working in a fast-paced and active environment; maintaining high standard of customer service; and, identifying and communicating subpoena validity related issues.
Responsibility
Responsibilities include working with others under general supervision while complying with standard operating procedures; operating under strict legal and procedural guidelines; and assisting in all aspects of prompt document retrieval and production. Responsibilities ultimately require producing an accurate product; complying with relevant legal procedures; and providing outstanding customer service.
Working Environment:
The working environment is primarily field based. Within the scope of performing the usual and ordinary job functions, the following physical demands are required: significant fine finger dexterity and some kneeling, crouching, lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling. Generally the job requires 60% sitting and/or driving, 20% walking, and 20% standing.
