Summary
To provide support to the Legal Department and bank divisions/departments for operational issues, matters and questions that may be impacted by federal and state laws and regulations
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide legal and administrative support to in-house attorney(s) in their daily functions.
Conduct research and investigations for all business units of the Bank that seek legal guidance.
Identify issues, legal risks and potential liabilities across bank departments and assist in addressing same.
Read and apply laws and government regulations in partnership with in-house attorneys.
Draft and file litigation, corporate, correspondence and similar documents
Provide case management and litigation support
Assemble, catalog and assist attorneys in reviewing discovery and/or due diligence
Coordinate and assist in issuing legal holds and document production for discovery requests.
Aid in the development of policies/procedures for bank departments.
Assist in the administration and use of LexisNexis, CounselLink, Logikcull, the Regulatory Intelligence platform in RSA Archer and other third-party platforms used by Legal to accomplish its objectives.

Qualifications
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree. Paralegal Certificate preferred.
Minimum Experience
At least five (5) years’ paralegal or similar experience, with prior in-house legal department and/or financial institutions experience preferred. Understanding of teller, deposit and loan operations appreciated.
Licenses & Certifications
Paralegal Certificate preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, CoPilot).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
