This is a Hybrid role based out of our Los Angeles office. In-office presence required on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What's so interesting about this role?
Grindr (NYSE: GRND) is looking for an outstanding Legal Operations Manager to become the 9th member of our growing Legal + Privacy team. This is a new role responsible for establishing the legal ops function at a rapidly expanding technology company serving the LGBTQ+ community in almost every country in the world. We're an ambitious, curious, mission-driven team managing a diverse array of legal matters, including commercial agreements, litigation, regulatory matters, corporate governance, securities, HR, privacy, intellectual property, and more.
What's the job?

  • Build and run the legal operations function.
  • Implement and manage use of a contract lifecycle management platform, ensuring efficient and organized contract processes.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive litigation and investigations support capability in alignment with the company's legal objectives and goals.
    • Oversee the collection, preservation, and organization of electronically stored information (ESI) and other relevant data in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for and implement improvements in legal procedures and systems, including through best-in-class legal technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead and ensure the success of various projects within the Legal Department.
  • Partner with a wide range of internal clients to achieve and maintain operational excellence.
  • Effectively manage relationships with external vendors and handle legal department data responsibly.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by supporting the Legal Department's learning and development around new tools and processes.


What we'll love about you

  • Proven Track Record: 5-10 years experience successfully building and managing a legal ops function in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, with broad exposure to a wide array of legal matters.
  • Technology Skills: Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing legal tech solutions, including eDiscovery and contract lifecycle management platforms.
  • Analytical and Proactive Orientation: Strong ability to analyze and proactively improve processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration.

Grindr is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will also be eligible for equity, benefits, and a company bonus program.
