The Position
We are seeking a Legal, Ethics and Compliance Counsel with expertise in legal affairs, ethics and compliance to support our business in Greece. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enabling our business to navigate growth initiatives while safeguarding the company from legal, ethics, compliance and reputational risks.
You will be accountable for:

  • ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including clinical trial regulations, data privacy legislation, pharmaceutical regulations and industry codes.
  • providing legal and compliance support in areas such as contract law, clinical trials law, data protection regulations, pharma regulations, HCPs and HCOs engagement framework, third parties risk assessment, transfer of value reporting and more.
  • legal and compliance strategic counselling to Clinical Trials Development Center (CDC) Greece.
  • ensuring data privacy compliance for the organisation.


As a strategic legal, ethics and compliance counsel, you will ensure strict adherence to legal and compliance requirements and develop proactive legal and compliance guidance, with a focus on contract law, clinical trials law, data protection and pharmaceutical regulations. You will ensure effective contract management, draft, review, approval and negotiation of various contracts, with a view to facilitate business growth while mitigating legal and reputational risks. You will provide fast, effective, high quality and business-oriented legal and compliance support and advice in key projects.
You will support the development and maintenance of a robust GDPR compliance framework for the organisation. Responsibilities include identifying and assessing ethics and compliance risks, performing gap analyses and creating risk mitigation plans related to the affiliate activities.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you have a Law Degree. A Master of Laws (LLM), especially in healthcare, would be considered as an advantage.
On top of what we would expect:

  • At least 2-3 years of on-the-job legal and compliance experience in the healthcare industry, (in-house or at a tier-one law firm). 1 year experience in the clinical trials industry would be considered as an advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, data protection requirements and clinical trial operations.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken Greek and English.
