Role Overview

The Legal Director will lead and manage all legal affairs across the company, providing strategic guidance, risk management, and legal oversight to support business growth. This role partners closely with executive leadership, HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure full compliance with local and international laws, while enabling smooth commercial operations across multiple regions.

1. Legal Strategy & Governance
  • Develop and implement the company’s overall legal strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Advise the CEO and executive team on legal risks, regulatory requirements, and business impact.
  • Oversee corporate governance and ensure legal compliance across all entities and jurisdictions.
2. Contracts & Commercial Support
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (vendor contracts, partnerships, SaaS agreements, NDAs, licensing, employment contracts, SLAs, etc.).
  • Ensure all contracts protect the company’s interests and comply with relevant laws.
  • Establish contract templates, workflows, and approval processes.
3. Regulatory & Compliance
  • Monitor updates in local and international regulations (KSA, UAE, Jordan, Morocco, UK).
  • Ensure compliance related to labor law, data protection, intellectual property, and corporate structuring.
  • Develop internal policies, guidelines, and compliance frameworks.
4. Risk Management
  • Lead company-wide risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage external counsel and ensure high-quality legal support where needed.
  • Handle dispute resolution, litigation management, and settlement strategies when required.
5. Corporate Affairs
  • Oversee company registrations, renewals, licensing, and entity management across all countries of operation.
  • Support HR with employment law matters, policy compliance, contract reviews, and regulatory guidance.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Business Development on contract structures, commercial agreements, compliance checks, and risk reviews for new partnerships or market expansions.
  • Assist internal teams (HR, BD, Operations, Tech, Marketing) in navigating legal requirements related to their functions.
6. Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and mentor the legal team.
  • Train internal departments on legal topics (contracts, privacy, labor law, compliance, etc.).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Tech, Marketing, and Operations. 

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) is mandatory; Master’s in Law (LLM) is a plus.
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive legal experience, preferably within tech, digital platforms, or multinational environments.
  • Strong experience in commercial contracts, employment law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Previous experience in a director or senior legal leadership role.

  • Strong experience in commercial contracts, employment law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance
