Legal Counsel
Key tasks
- Work closely with BlueOrchard Finance (BOF) investment officers, representatives of client financial institutions (FIs) as well as local legal counsel in various jurisdiction to oversee the development of transactional agreements and coordinate closing of deals;
- Prepare transaction documents in full compliance with all internal processes, applicable laws and regulations and corporate requirements of BOF managed funds;
- Liaise with BOF investment officers, BOF legal department, and BOF risk team to develop and process amendments/waivers and other supplemental deal documents post-disbursement;
- Provide key support to the legal team in the day-to-day management of legal and transactional risk.
Required skills and experience
- Degree in law (preferably Master’s degree) from a reputed university;
- At least 5 years professional experience in a top tier law firm or in-house at an asset manager, investment firm, or bank;
- Experience in legal documentation of debt and/or equity transactions;
- Total professional fluency in both written and spoken English is essential. Additionally, fluency in French is an advantage.

- Self-starter with desire and ability to learn quickly in a rewarding, but fast paced and challenging deal environment;
