Educational Qualifications



Minimum Qualification: LLB



Functional Skills


  • Excellent academic record;
  • Basic knowledge of Indian laws relating to the energy/power industry;
  • Basic drafting experience;
  • Tender documentation / project contracting experience;
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver under tight timelines;
  • Must have common sense and practical approach to legal issues; 
  • Functional understanding of and experience in the power sector would be preferred; and
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent judgment; high standards of ethics, honesty and integrity.


Relevant and total years of Experience


  • Minimum 4-6 years of total experience
  • Experience in the power sector is preferred


Accountabilities


Major Activities

The Legal Counsel will be expected to assist in matters ranging across operations, asset management, compliances, project documentation, tender documentation and general transaction management to ensure compliance with Apraava Energy's standards 



 




 

 

 

 
  • Work internally with other functions such as Operations, Asset Management Business Development, Human Resources, Procurement, Corporate Services, Compliance and Risk, and site-based project teams to ensure appropriate and timely delivery of integrated legal services; 
  • Assist with advising on proposed transaction structures;
  • Preparing and managing regulatory updates for the legal team; 
  • Reviewing and updating standard templates;
  • Point of contact for document management of the legal team;
  • Transaction management.

Advising on legal aspects of development and acquisition of various projects, assisting in reviewing, negotiating and finalizing contracts and other documents, liaising with external counsel and internal teams.



 
  • Assisting with legal due diligence and general research; 
  • Assisting with review and finalization of contracts and other documents;
  • Coordinating between the internal and external stakeholders; and
  • Transaction management.

Advising on legal aspects of Apraava Energy’s existing portfolio, reviewing, negotiating and finalizing contracts and other documents, advising on legal issues, liaising with external counsel and internal teams.



 
  • Assisting with review and finalization of contracts and other documents;
  • Document and transaction management, including managing the requisition process.
  • Advising on day to day legal issues
