About the role:
As the Legal Coordinator, you will provide general operational and administrative support to the legal department and liaise with other business units to address departmental needs. As part of your role, youwill prepare documents, file and track legal documents, manage the legal team’s workflow, assist in improving legal operations, and coordinate meetings.
You will play an important role in our corporate office supporting D-Wave’s legal operations and enabling our internal business teams. A Legal Coordinator is an essential part of any legal team, as they help to ensure that all legal activities run smoothly.
What you’ll do:
- Assist the legal team with meticulous editing and processing of documents, including contract templates and other standard forms
- Prepare standard contracts using D-Wave’s existing templates, such as non-disclosure agreements
- Draft routine correspondence and documents
- Assist the legal team in finalizing various agreements, including coordinating signatures
- Maintain the legal team’s contract management system and ensure that it is complete and up to date, including filing and tracking legal documents
- Assist with document flow management
- Manage the legal team’s intake ticketing system
- Interact with and assist our internal business teams in their dealing with the legal department
- Assist in improving and sustaining processes and legal operations that allow accurate, expedient and timely services to D-Wave’s internal business teams
- Assist with scheduling meetings and contribute to overall management of the legal team calendars
- Other administrative support, as needed
About You
- A professional with at least 3 years of experience as a legal assistant or legal coordinator
- Experienced using a contract management software, preferably Agiloft
- Familiar with contracts and legal language
- Experienced in streamlining legal operations
- Highly detail oriented and organized, with an ability to multi-task while maintaining a high sense of urgency
- Driven, with initiative, self-discipline and the ability to accomplish routine assignments with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to completion in an environment with a high-volume workload with limited resources
- Mature and reliable, with a collaborative mindset and solid interpersonal skills
- Technologically savvy, including proficient in Microsoft Office
