Legal Content Specialist, Pacific

LN GEO Editorial Operation, Cases (APAC)

 

 Purpose of the Role

This individual contributor role will work directly with product managers on new caselaw content initiatives, playing a crucial part in defining and executing projects that enhance our legal content offerings.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Core Accountabilities:

Case Law Expertise

  • Conduct comprehensive legal and editorial research to support project development and ensure content accuracy and relevance.

  • Leverage editorial expertise to contribute to the creation and enhancement of legal content, ensuring high-quality output.

  • Leverage Gen AI opportunities within Case content.

Project Management

  • Translate research findings and project requirements into detailed user stories that engineers can effectively execute.

  • Define and articulate requirements that translate into actionable user stories for the development team.

  • Collaborate with product managers to help define and prioritize the project backlog for new caselaw initiatives.

Content Development & Strategy

  • Document customer problems and requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of user needs and expectations.

  • Expansion of content and acquisition of content.

Relationship & Communication

  • Collaborate with product teams, content team, technology teams to help define and prioritize new caselaw initiatives.

  • Support the in-market commercial teams with content related queries and developments.

  • Manage vendor relationship.

  • Build effective relationships with colleagues, customers (internal and external) and management to ensure efficient execution of tasks and roadmaps.

 

Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge

 Education: Specialized/ Technical

  • Identification and implementation of content enhancement and expansion for delivery of BAU publishing and strategic projects

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in legal research, editorial roles, or related positions within the legal technology or publishing industry.

  • Extensive experience in legal research and editorial processes, with a strong understanding of caselaw and legal content.

Competencies

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear and actionable user stories.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document and present findings effectively.

  • Basic familiarity or awareness of LLM providers (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc. . . .) and prompt engineering preferred.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience in working within an agile development environment is a plus.
